Xilinx Earnings, Revenue beat in Q3 By Investing.com

Xilinx reported on Wednesday third quarter earnings that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Xilinx announced earnings per share of $0.78 on revenue of $803.4M. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.6856 on revenue of $775.73M.

Xilinx shares are down 5% from the beginning of the year and are trading at $133.50 , down-from-52-week-high.They are under-performing the Nasdaq 100 which is up 1.74% from the start of the year.

Xilinx shares lost 0.27% in after-hours trade the report.

Xilinx follows other major Technology sector earnings this month

Xilinx’s report follows an earnings beat by Microsoft on Tuesday, who reported EPS of $2.03 on revenue of $43.08B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.64 on revenue of $40.23B.

Facebook had beat expectations on Wednesday with fourth quarter EPS of $3.88 on revenue of $28.07B, compared to forecast for EPS of $3.16 on revenue of $26.31B.
