ECB policy needs to remain ‘very, very loose’: Slovakia’s Kazimir By Reuters

(Reuters) – Loose European Central Bank policy is still required to aid the euro zone’s recovery from a pandemic-induced double-dip recession, Slovak central bank chief Peter Kazimir said on Tuesday.

“From the point of view of the European Central Bank’s monetary policy …. the setting remains very, very loose at the moment and we don’t see any reason to change this setting,” Kazimir told a news conference.

“In our view, the loose monetary policy works and it helps the economy to recover.”
