Short-term uptick in inflation will not overturn ECB policy, says Schnabel By Reuters

BERLIN (Reuters) – A short-term rise in inflation will not have material impact on the European Central Bank’s monetary policy decisions, ECB board member Isabel Schnabel said in an interview published on Tuesday.

“There are no signs at the moment that we should worry about inflation being too high,” Schnabel told Austrian newspaper Der Standard.

The ECB rather expected prices to rise too slowly, she added.
